PureOlogy ColourMax

pureology_colourmax.jpgOne of my favorite leave-in conditioners is PureOlogy ColourMax. If you have color treated hair then this light spray conditioner is a great addition to your hair care regime. Not only does it detangle and add shine, but it protects your color from UVA/UVB damage. PureOlogy’s Nano Technology prevents breakage of the hair cuticle and its’ AntiFadeComplex restores color radiance. I use it because it leaves my hair soft and smelling great as well as holding in my color.

dermalogica_special_cleansing_gel.gifThis is a gentle cleansing gel that I use on a daily basis. A little goes a long way so it is actually less expensive in the long run than buying any old cleanser from the drug store. It is soap-free and perfect for those who tend to break out after washing their face. It is not a deep cleanser but it works well with an exfoliant such as the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. The Special Cleansing Gel contains soothing lavender and mint without artificial colors or fragrances. It does leaves the skin a little dry so follow with a good moisturizer.

estee_lauder_magnascopic_mascara.jpgI love this mascara because without even curling my eye lashes it gives me instant volume. Immediately after you apply, your lashes will stand out. It is a little thick so after your first application comb through with a lash brush and then repeat. Two coats will give dark, full lashes that bring out your eyes.

This mascara can hold its own without any additional makeup. If I had to choose one makeup item to grab, Estee Lauder MagnaScopic Mascara in black would be a close match with my lip gloss! Be sure to buy a good makeup remover with this product as it can be a bit stubborn to remove.

nailtiques_cuticle_and_hand_conditioner.jpgThis is a lovely moisturizing hand cream that I stash in a bigger purse or leave in the car. It feels a bit greasy when you first put it on, but once it is rubbed in, your hands feel smooth and soft without a trace of greasy feeling.

Nailtiques Cuticle and Hand Conditioner contains Vitamin A, pure aloe and jojaba oil which nourshes rough hands and tough cuticles. Available at most beauty supply stores or at beautyrealm.com, $16 for 4 oz.

Aloe Vera

aloe_leaf.jpgAloe Vera is a great moisturizing ingredient because it penetrates easily into the skin and helps to remove dead skin cells. It is widely known for its soothing and healing capabilities, especially for sunburns, but is now finding its way into more beauty products such as haircare, skincare, and even makeup. It’s used for reducing scars, age lines, and blemishes. Check out a few items whose ingredients contain aloe:

Bumble and bumble Thickening Shampoo, Fade Out Eye Zone Fade Cream, and Nailtiques Cuticle and Hand Conditioner
