Coconut Oil

October 28th, 2006

CoconutCoconut oil is one of my favorite ingredients. It smells fabulous and keeps the skin soft and supple. It is known as an exceptional moisturizer and is used in a variety of beauty treatments.

Coconut oil has been used for years to sooth the skin and hair. Virgin coconut oil can be applied directly and has been used in substitution of mineral oil. Its smoothing qualities are so powerful it can penetrate the inner walls of the steel containers it is stored in.

Here are a few great items with coconut oil:

Mountain Ocean Skin Trip Coconut Moisturizer, Bumble and bumble Creme de Coco Conditioner, or The Body Shop Coconut Dry Oil Mist

Nars Blush

October 27th, 2006

nars_blush_in_desire.jpgI love the color line of Nars‘ blushes and professional makeup artists also love this line. They capture the essence of what blush should be, a natural healthy glow that comes from within. Each color contains spectacular pigments that give the skin a soft tint. “Orgasm,” a light peachy pink, is one of their most popular colors and the color I prefer. However, “Oasis,” a pinky champagne color, is a great addition to the line and “Desire” is fun cotton candy color. This blush line is absolutely great and guaranteed to be enjoyable to try out.

Laura Mercier

October 23rd, 2006

laura_mercier_product_line.gifThis brand was recommended by a friend whose makeup always looked clean and natural. I went to a Laura Mercier counter at Nordstroms and spoke with a representative. She pointed out a few items I might like. I had her put a natural looking foundation on me which blended nicely into my skin. I fell in love with their color palates. All of the items such as the lip and eye liners were very soft looking along with some rich eye shadows that were not overdone. If you are looking to find a subtle line of makeup I would strongly suggest Laura Mercier.
