Kiwifruit

KiwifruitThe Kiwifruit (also referred to as Kiwi), from the land of China, was once referred to as the Chinese gooseberry. This green fleshy fruit is fun to eat, and fun to use in your beauty products.

The Kiwifruit contains a natural enzyme similar to papain, which exfoliates the skin. It also contains antioxidants and vitamins C, E, and A.

As the Kiwifruit is applied topically, these vitamins are absorbed into the skin while depositing the antioxidants.

Here are a few beauty items that contain Kiwifruit:

Philosophy Kiss Me lip balm, Murad Refreshing Cleanser, and Jacqua Exfoliating Body Polish in Pina Colada. Yummy!

Shea ButterThe magical properties of Shea Butter allow it to act as a very helpful tool in cosmetics. Shea butter is known best for its moisturizing qualities and is made from the fruit of a Shea tree.

Shea Butter is the fat extracted from this African fruit and is added to many types of beauty products. It can help prevent brittle hair by restoring moisture into the hair follicles.

It is also a great ingredient in body lotions and creams because it acts as an emollient to the skin, and helps to heal scars, and minor irritations. Shea Butter even provides natural protection from UV rays.

Here are a few items that include Shea Butter:

L’Occitane 100% Pure Shea Butter(for use all over), Ojon Ultra Hydrating Conditioner, and Jaqua Buttercream Frosting Sinfully Rich Body Butter.

CoconutCoconut oil is one of my favorite ingredients. It smells fabulous and keeps the skin soft and supple. It is known as an exceptional moisturizer and is used in a variety of beauty treatments.

Coconut oil has been used for years to sooth the skin and hair. Virgin coconut oil can be applied directly and has been used in substitution of mineral oil. Its smoothing qualities are so powerful it can penetrate the inner walls of the steel containers it is stored in.

Here are a few great items with coconut oil:

Mountain Ocean Skin Trip Coconut Moisturizer, Bumble and bumble Creme de Coco Conditioner, or The Body Shop Coconut Dry Oil Mist
